Amelia National Golf Club Hosts Big Golf Event

Amelia National Golf: Local Club Lands Big Golf Tournament

Amelia National Golf & Country Club is hosting the F&S Asset Management Group Classic March 8 through March 14, 2010 at the private Tom Fazio-designed course.

This National Golf Association’s Hooters Pro Golf Tour event features “elite golf professionals” and is reportedly considered “a gateway to the PGA."

The total purse for the event, presented by Michelob Ultra, will reportedly be $200,000, with $34,000 going to the winner.

“The #1 goal of The Hooters Tour has always been, and always will be to help professional golfers achieve their dream of playing on The PGA Tour,” said Robin L. Waters, Hooters Tour President.

Golf enthusiasts can follow the tournament results. Scores are sent daily to the AP Wire Services and USA Today. Scores are posted online daily at Golfweek.com and Hooterstour.com.
