- My Husband Hal and I bought a lot in downtown Fernandina Beach and we are getting ready to build. I've been coming to Fernandina Beach since college. I used to camp, but since marrying my husband we now stay in hotels and B&B's. He said he has done all the camping he intends to do in the Navy. Hal wants to move back to Florida and we want to retire to Fernandina Beach. He is a workaholic so I am the one in charge of this project to get us a house built and prod him as far as what we need to get done. We're pretty laid back and like our dogs better that most people. I like art and attempt it myself for fun. Pottery, Painting, Sculpture, just to see what I can do. Also I try gardening because I love the colors. We have lived in Tiger, GA for the last ten years in a 130 year old log cabin which we love. Rabun County is truly beautiful up here and I highly recommend it, though there is not nearly the same amount of activities as Fernandina Beach. No children, but dogs.
