Fun activities happening in Fernandina Beach to celebrate the 4th of July in 2009 include the following events on Saturday, July 4:

10 am until 2 pm -- Stars & Stripes Freedom Festival in Central Park (Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach). Lots of fun activities are scheduled, including touch-a-truck display, parent-child look-alike contest, American apple pie contest, kids playground, arts & crafts show, food, vendors, live band "Face for Radio," tug of war, water balloon toss. Family fun in celebration of America's Independence Day. (See also www.shinybadgesball.com for more information).
7 pm -- Stars & Stripes Independence Day Parade along Centre Street, Fernandina Beach
8 pm -- Live, free music concert, Fernandina Beach near harbor front. Enjoy patriotic music, American Folk music and marches. Get in the spirit of the 4th!
9:30-ish -- FIREWORKS at Fernandina Harbor
