Amelia Island Garden Show

The Amelia Island Garden Show will be held March 6 & 7, 2010 in Central Park on Atlantic Avenue in Fernandina Beach, Florida. TIMES: Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-4pm. Featuring 50-plus vendors with a full assortment of flowers, plants, trees and palms, orchids, bonsai, water pond accessories, native plants, butterfly-friendly plants, shrubs, and garden accessories. Also, listen to experts offering advice as to "greening" your home, yard and garden. "Ask the Expert booth" will offer short presentations and demonstrations from "sustainable gardening to Orchids 101." Featured attractions include: The Butterfly Encounter and The Raptor Experience.FARMERS MARKET'S VENDORS WILL ALSO BE AT THE GARDEN SHOW...
A wide selection of produce and prepared foods will be there from the Fernandina Farmers Market's vendors for both days of the Garden Show. Come hungry to enjoy the Food Court and picnic benches. According to the Farmer's Market newsletter, "Thompson All-Natural Pork will be serving BBQ sandwiches, sausage dogs, and pork burgers. Proper Pie will be serving hot meat, savory and vegetarian pies and other British entrees including hot snacks, shepherds' pie, sausage rolls and pasties. Olive Affairs will have their muffaletta sandwiches and a vegan wrap. San Jose Mexican Grill AKA Gabriela's will have tamales, burritos, soft tacos and more. Rose of An-Believable Egg Rolls will have cooked before your eyes egg rolls and shrimp wraps! Get some hot fresh kettle korn from Susan of Neal's Kettle Korn.
